Tango for
Active Ageing

Step by Step Project
🪗Towards the end of the project, each partner will co-create a public performance with the seniors who take part in the classes. These events are not about perfection; they are about joy, visibility and self-expression, offering older adults a chance to share what they have achieved with families and communities.Performances will be accompanied by open class demonstrations to invite new participants and potential replicators.#communityperformance #ActiveAgeing #tangoonstage #intergenerational #socialinclusion ... Step by Step Project
➡️STEP BY STEP operates locally in Spain, Italy and France, but the lessons we learn are intended for a much wider European audience.By documenting our methods and outcomes, we hope to support other organisations that wish to integrate tango into their care or sports programmes for seniors. In the long term, we aim to contribute to policy discussions on how culture and sport can support healthy, dignified ageing.#europeanimpact #HealthyAgeing #sportandhealth #CulturalWellbeing #ErasmusPlus ... Step by Step Project
🤲Many older adults live with loneliness, self-neglect or a gradual withdrawal from social activities.Regular, group-based movement has been shown to help reduce loneliness, increase independence and support emotional well-being in later life.👏In STEP BY STEP, tango becomes a weekly anchor – a reason to leave the house, meet others and feel seen, heard and valued.#loneliness #socialconnection #dancemovementtherapy #ActiveAgeing #mentalhealth ... Step by Step Project
➡️Safety is at the heart of every STEP BY STEP session. Our instructors designed adaptive tango techniques that allow participants to dance with support, sit for parts of the class or focus mainly on upper body movement if needed. We pay close attention to balance, fatigue and confidence, adjusting the pace so that no one feels rushed or left behind.🔗Learn more at stepbystep-project.eu/#SafeExercise #FallsPrevention #adaptedtango #ActiveAgeing #inclusivedance ...
